Hello Little Sumo

Well he finally came all on his own!!! On Tuesday Afternoon I went in for one of my weekly non stress test and all was well small contractions but nothing out of the norm. Then my parents and Brody and I went to the mall to get a few last minute items for me in the hospital, As I am driving home I begin to get these strong contractions but nothing to complain about. So We proceed to get ready for bed since it is about 9:00. Well they start to come really regular and stronger so I decide that I better sleep upstairs since Jon was closing and doesn't usually get home until about 4:00 AM. WELL Little did I know that this was only the start! The contractions gets stronger and stronger at about 8 minutes apart, by the time it was midnight they were not getting any better and closer together. I made it OK until they were about six minutes apart then it really starts to hurt so I keep telling my self that it just fake labor. 1:00 rolls around and I am doubled over in pain and tears so I go wake my mom up and tell her I cant take the pain anymore. So we got in the car and came to the hospital (contractions now 4 mins apart.) They get me in a room and I try my hardest to breath through the pain. Since I was going to have a c section they never checked me when I went to the doctors each week. The nurse checked me very first and LOW AND BEHOLD I was 100% thinned and almost dilated to a 9,A NINE!! Needless to say i had been in labor this whole time! How crappy, you don schedule a c section to go all through the labor with NO pain meds!!! So I call Jon and tell him to hurry the baby is coming NOW! The prep me and I get the spinal block and Jon barely makes it in time. We welcomed Dax Raymond at 2:32 AM!

Here was my first look at him.

Jon was so lucky to have made it in time!! They literally threw the gown at him and told him to hurry!

Dax was HUGE!! 9 pounds 13 ounces and 22 inches long!

Such a sweet face.

So far Things with me are OK. I had some hemorrhaging and had to be put on meds to stop the bleeding but all is well now. Dax on the other hand could use your thoughts and prayers, he is currently in the NICU Because he can not keep his blood sugars up and he most likely will not be coming home when I go home. His blood sugars were at 16 when they tested him and a baby his size should be around 60. Other than that he is healthy. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Pregnancy update!

I went to the doctors today and had an ultrasound to check the growth of Dax, well little did I know that I would soon be the one to have a 10 pound baby!!! Sort of... As of today he weighs in at a HUGE 8 Pounds 9 Ounces nothing like giving birth to a toddler!!! I still have almost a month to go and at this point he is gaining a half pound a week that would put him at almost 11 pounds. So as the tech finishes her report up I ask her how he is measuring up? and she tells me well pound wise 8 lbs 9 oz and about 39 weeks... I just looked at her and said are you sh**ting me?!?!? (This is the image that popped in my head!)

I just couldn't believe it I felt so bad that those words came out of my mouth but as I'm sitting there thinking that they still want me to go another month that's all I could say. Then she tells me the doctor will be in soon and we could discuss the options. well sure enough the doctor comes in but it not MY doctor so I get even more upset. We proceed to talk and he tells me that I have to wait there is no choice, so I requested to have an amnio to see how good his lungs are at this point and he tells me that they will do one around the 5Th of August and I am already scheduled to be delivered the 8Th so whats the point??? So I get even more upset and tell him in a firm voice that I want to speak with my doctor TODAY ( he was in labor and delivery..) then I proceed to go have one of my weekly non stress test done and wait to see the doctor, he finally comes in and I get the answers I want!! SO next Friday I am going to have an amnio done and he put me on the schedule to deliver the next day!!!! I'm feeling that he must agree with me or something to already put me on the list!!! SO PLEASE keep your fingers crossed that this pain will all be over next Saturday!!!!

What are memories you have of me?

This seemed like a really fun thing to do...
I saw it on someone else's blog and thought I would give it a try. It will be fun if people play along!

Here's how you do it-

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

(Yes, Katie, 18 years is a long time so you can leave a few!!!)

Well anyone in that case can leave more than one if you have a few.

My pregnancy update

So this has been by far the hottest summer!!! I can honestly say that I am miserable! The baby is doing well and I think its ready to be done, The doctors are not really sure on the official due date so I have a few up in the air which makes it hard cause I feel its time. Today I measured 39 weeks but I'm only suppose to be 35 weeks so OF course my doctor has to be at scout camp so I wasn't able to discuss if he would deliver me sooner ( Like this week!) But I go in again on Thursday then next Tuesday and they will do an ultrasound and amnio to make sure the lungs are developed enough (keep your fingers crossed!!!) In the mean time I am just HUGE and hot and tired with an infected face with the wonderful acne I am prone to, I just want to know why I never got that WONDERFUL pregnancy glow?!?!? Nope I just get acne and have to have the things cut and drained since there really is no other option, Man I love scars!!! Soon it will be all over and I will be a happy camper with a new crying baby and a toddler who has discovered that he can scream when he doesn't get his way! WHAT WAS I THINKING????????
Well here is my huge self!!!!

I will keep everyone updated as the time draws nearer to the baby. In the mean time... enjoy your summer!!

What did you do Sunday afternoon??

On sunday after dinner we were sitting outside and noticed 7 ballons floating in the sky. We sat there and watched and watched until Doug went inside and got some ballons, string and a small helium tank......

We decided that we were going to let a few out ourselves.

Then my dad had this idea to write a message and tie it to the ballon with his email address saying " If found please email me"

And Grandma put a flag on hers

And their off!!!!!!

Here they are in the air!

It will be fun to see if we get any emails and if we do where and when they were found. I will for sure keep you updated on our findings.
