My new best Friend!!!!!

Well as most of you know I have a little boy who loves to scream non-stop! Well not no more!!!!! For 8 weeks straight he cried non stop and I was beginning to think my name was Bethany and his was Kashton! So I talked to the doctor and he thought that maybe he was having a hard time breaking down my milk, so we switched him to formula called Nutramigen. I could not believe the difference in him with just one feeding. I have to say that I wish I would have switched sooner except for the fact that it is very pricey ($27 a can) and you use alot more because they are packed scoops not the normal loose scoop. But Bethany there is hope!!!! Here is the new and improved Dax Sleeping in his bouncy seat and me not holding him! Brody is loving that he has a mom again to play with him!

Well i know neither of my boys look like this! why must they make their noses so huge looking on such a tiny face?

Giving this a try

Well i'm not one for home parties but I have fallen in love with these Scentsy candles! They are wickless and are melted by a light bulb, I really like these because with my brain these days I would forget to blow out a candle and burn the house down or something! With these I feel safer because its just plugged in and thats it, heck we leave our tvs plugged in all the time and nothing happens!!! Anyways I have started to be a consultant and selling these on the side. If any of you are interested in ordering some or even want to just see how they smell or work let me know. (you'll love them!) Here is my personal page ( I feel so important!) scentsy.com/nemelka You can order right off it if you already know what you like or need, or you can just browse the smells and burners. The room sprays and car candles are great they work very well. I personally always have the room spray in my diaper bag for those awful smelling public bathrooms!

Dax's sleep study

As many of you read in some of my previous blogs I mention that dax had severe sleep apnea and was dropping 83 times a hour. We did a follow up study with his oxygen on and no feeding tube to see if he had improved in the 2 weeks he was home. Here is what his test looked like while he was in the hospital.... He should have a pretty solid line at the 100 mark at the top and as you can see he couldnt stay there at all.

Here is the test he took a few nights ago....

Such a HUGE difference you would think that the chart was upside down but its not he just had a great inprovement which I had expected because the doctors had said that the apnea could be beccuse the tube wasw irritating his throat. I really think this shows that! When the doctor read the study he was so shocked because oxygen doesnt fix the problem like that. I am just greatful that he is doing so well and I hope that soon he can be off the oxygen completely once we do one more study on plain old room air.

Thanks for the dinner! Can I borrow your broom?

So our ward decided that they would wait to bring our family dinner until after Dax came home. We were very grateful and the food was great! One was so great I got so excited to take this dishes back and thank them . . . . .WELL as I got out of the car in their driveway the glass lid slid off the dish and SHATTERS all over their driveway.OH MY GOSH! Did I feel like an idiot! So my father and I walk up to the door and when they answered we just smiled and i simply say," Thanks for the dinner can I borrow your broom?" He looks at us confusingly and I can't help but giggle while I explain what just happened!

Here is some of the pile we swept up!

I know this picture isn't the best but the glass flew all the way to the street in big chunks so my dad was picking them up so they didn't also get a flat tire to go along with their broken dish!! As I sit here and write this blog I cant stop laughing about how stupid I felt. So I hope you all can laugh along as I go to Target to buy a new dish!

He Passed!!!

On Tuesday Dax had his Follow up swallow study and PASSED!!!! SO he no longer has to have his feeding tube down his nose. He gets very sleepy when he eats so it takes a while to feed him but what do you expect when this is your first go at eating in your three and a half weeks of life?!? I think he is doing so well though for all that he has been through and learn. Brody is such sweet big brother with him. The other night we were just done eating dinner when Dax started to cry in the living room so my mom got up to go get him and Brody Took off running Pushing all of us out of the way so that he could help his brother. He is so cute and gentle with him and loves to help in every way he can.

We are home...and LOVING it!!

After 15 days in the hospital we are home! I have to admit that in 18 months I forgot how much attention is required for a newborn, and to add a 19 month old also! But I wouldn't have it any other way I love my 2 sweet babies! Dax is doing well and growing each day. Tuesday we will go back to Primarys to have a follow up swallow study to see if it is okay to remove the NJ feeding tube and let him nurse normally (keep your fingers crossed!). I will let you know how his tests go and soon as I know the results for now here are a few pictures.

Just a close up on his sweet face!

This was they first time he had been dressed since he was born. We were just waiting to be discharged.

Brody loves his little brother and wants to be right by him every minute. They both fell asleep in grandma's bed and you can see by the picture that Brody had to be right by his side to touch his head if Dax cried.
