A day in the life of me!

Ok so we all know that I have taken on a new responsibility of taking care of grandma. Who knew a 91 year old could be as demanding as a 1 year old! We start the day off with my alarm going off at 8:00 AM I know, I know, that's not too early but it is when your 1 year old doesn't get up until 9:00 then we go upstairs and get grandma up and get her moving to the bathroom and the kitchen to eat some breakfast. Then we head back to the bathroom to clean teeth wash face and get dressed for the day! From there we proceed back to the living room to watch some morning television. While Brody and Grandma play I contiune to clean the kitchen and start to work on lunch.12:00 rolls around and its lunch time, even though grandma says "Its time already?" (this is 4 hours later!!!) so we eat then we head to the restroom for a potty break then to her room where she does her exercises and then watches her story "guiding light" but usually falls asleep half way through! So she rests for a few hours and I get Brody down for a nap and try to take one myself!! Around 3:00 she comes back to the couch and we watch a few cooking shows while playing games and doing crosswords etc. 4:45 rolls around and my mom walks in from work and grandma always says " Home already?" " Were you busy today?" Grandma is so sweet to make sure you had a good day! Ok so then at about 5:30 we cook dinner and eat. We sit around and talk, hear some stories and make our nightly calls. 9:00 Creeps up and its time to get ready for bed, first brody then grandma, we are in bed by 10:00 and passed out by 10:05!!! SO there is a day in the life of me!! Wouldnt change it for the world! I think it is so special to have the oldest (91) and youngest (1) under the same roof its amazing that a 90 year difference can be so close in your heart.

You are great and you should write down the stories grandma tells you before you forget them. What a wonderful experience. One you will cherish as time goes by and be grateful for. She is such a great lady.

You know they say life is one eternal round...as a baby you just want hair and teeth...and as you reach your elderly years, ...you just want hair and teeth...like my dad... :) (ha, ha, just kidding...my dad has teeth....)
