Dog verses Rawhide....... Rawhide wins

I have never been so sad as I have been today. Jaxson was playing with Haylie and we noticed some blood but there had been no yelp or any noise so we didn't know where it was coming from, I later look and see a HUGE cut above Jaxson's eye and as I started to examine the damage I see it is about a half inch long and and about a forth of an inch deep. I then begin to freak out because we didn't know where it had come from. I then begin to think of what it could be from when I notice that there is a rough piece of Rawhide on the floor with a little bit of blood on it. So Doug and and I clean the wound and put some neosporin on it and make an appt to go to the vet. Two hours later I am told that its so deep he has to have stitches inside and a few staples on the outside. Here are a few pictures......



The vet confirmed that the cut was from jumping up to get the rawhide from Haylie and it punctured the skin then tore it open. I now recommend that you DO NOT give your furry friends these rawhides for they can be dangerous!

Wild child or just bored?

OK OK so I know I said that I love to be pregnant and I really do! When I was pregnant with Brody I felt him move daily but only starting around 24 weeks, This little baby wanted to be noticed at about 12 weeks and hasn't stopped since. The doctor told me that his back is lined right up with my side and his hands and feet are all the way on the other side, there for he is already long! ( Brody 22.7 ") SO the point of my story is that this baby NEVER stops moving, he hates it when I sit or lay on either of my sides which is recommended. some days as I lay to go to sleep I think to myself am I going to have my hands full or is his just bored in there? Maybe I am just worried because Brody was and still is so good. But honestly some days I tell Jon that he just needs to calm down for a few minutes so I can catch my breath!!! I guess we will see in a few short months if he is bored or a true wild child!

My first experience roasting Staburst.....

Last night we lit a fire in the backyard fire pit and roasted marshmallows, A friend told me once to try and roast a Starburst because its so good! Well I tried it and it was very good, they puff up and become all gooey even after they have cooled. I was enjoying them one by one until I tried the blue color...... then this happened!!


Oh my gosh it burned so bad! I guess I let it melt a little too much and a piece fell and dripped onto my finger. I just started yelling that it burned and hurt so bad as I wave my hand all through the air trying to cool it. This picture is a few minutes after I picked the cooled candy off my finger.


This picture is not as easy to see but this was 15 hours Later Still very red and white and puffy. At least it doesn't sting as bad!


Needless to Say I will be VERY careful next time I roast Starburst! But everyone should try this at least once they are so good!

She is going to kill me for this!!!!!

Well as you know the Girls went to Vegas last weekend and I had a Not so fun time, Brody puked all over everywhere a few hours after we arrived and whined the whole rest of the trip. I did have fun but I was so miserable thinking that he was ruining every ones fun with his crying and fever. But This picture made my trip!! This picture came right after drinking the nastiest drink ever from Italy at coke world! And she is going to kill me for posting it..... Love ya mom!
