Hello Little Sumo

Well he finally came all on his own!!! On Tuesday Afternoon I went in for one of my weekly non stress test and all was well small contractions but nothing out of the norm. Then my parents and Brody and I went to the mall to get a few last minute items for me in the hospital, As I am driving home I begin to get these strong contractions but nothing to complain about. So We proceed to get ready for bed since it is about 9:00. Well they start to come really regular and stronger so I decide that I better sleep upstairs since Jon was closing and doesn't usually get home until about 4:00 AM. WELL Little did I know that this was only the start! The contractions gets stronger and stronger at about 8 minutes apart, by the time it was midnight they were not getting any better and closer together. I made it OK until they were about six minutes apart then it really starts to hurt so I keep telling my self that it just fake labor. 1:00 rolls around and I am doubled over in pain and tears so I go wake my mom up and tell her I cant take the pain anymore. So we got in the car and came to the hospital (contractions now 4 mins apart.) They get me in a room and I try my hardest to breath through the pain. Since I was going to have a c section they never checked me when I went to the doctors each week. The nurse checked me very first and LOW AND BEHOLD I was 100% thinned and almost dilated to a 9,A NINE!! Needless to say i had been in labor this whole time! How crappy, you don schedule a c section to go all through the labor with NO pain meds!!! So I call Jon and tell him to hurry the baby is coming NOW! The prep me and I get the spinal block and Jon barely makes it in time. We welcomed Dax Raymond at 2:32 AM!

Here was my first look at him.

Jon was so lucky to have made it in time!! They literally threw the gown at him and told him to hurry!

Dax was HUGE!! 9 pounds 13 ounces and 22 inches long!

Such a sweet face.

So far Things with me are OK. I had some hemorrhaging and had to be put on meds to stop the bleeding but all is well now. Dax on the other hand could use your thoughts and prayers, he is currently in the NICU Because he can not keep his blood sugars up and he most likely will not be coming home when I go home. His blood sugars were at 16 when they tested him and a baby his size should be around 60. Other than that he is healthy. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
